Kate Upton’s 'nun-kini' angers Catholics

Kate Upton’s racy nun-inspired swimsuit in the movie The Three Stooges has outraged a religious group, which has accused the makers of being sacrilegious.

The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, which was established in 1973, has accused 20th Century Fox of being gratuitous and not in the same spirit as the original series.

“In the 1950s, Hollywood generally avoided crude fare and was respectful of religion,” Contactmusic quoted Catholic League president Bill Donohue as saying.

“Today it specialises in crudity and trashes Christianity, especially Catholicism,” he said.

Donohue went on to say that the reboot portrayal of the classic comedy trio is a reflection of the way society has changed.

“The movie is not just another remake: It is a cultural marker of sociological significance, and what it says about the way we’ve changed is not encouraging,’ he said.

“The TV show never mocked nuns or showed infants urinating in the face of the Stooges. The film does,” he said.

But the makers, 20th Century Fox has fought back, defending the movie against Donohue’s remarks.

“The movie, in keeping with the spirit of the original TV show and its stars, is a broad, slapstick comedy,” a Fox spokesman told The Hollywood Reporter.
“As the Stooges have proved over time, laughter is a universal medicine. The nuns that Mr. Donohue alludes to, are in fact, caring, heroic characters in the movie, albeit within the framework of a very broad comedy.

“And as far as the nun attire, I think we did the audience a favour by letting Kate Upton wear the nun-kini rather than Larry David — it could have gone either way.

]O vazamento de fotos de Carolina Dieckmann encerrou o expediente mais cedo em todo o país. O ministro da Fazenda Guido Mantega mal teve tempo de anunciar a previsão de crescimento de 4,8% do PIB para 2012 e já voltou atrás.

O vazamento de cerca de 30 fotos da atriz Carolina Dieckmann nua fez com que o economista revisse a previsão.

“Acho que agora é seguro dizer que não passaremos de 4,2%. Vai ter uma grande queda na produtividade do brasileiro nos próximos meses. Principalmente em trabalhos que exijam o uso coordenado do braço direito”, disse Mantega.

Computador pode indicar quem publicou fotos nuas de Carolina Dieckmann

O computador da atriz Carolina Dieckmann, que teve 36 fotos íntimas publicadas na internet, pode levar a polícia à identificação do responsável pelo vazamento das imagens. A máquina, apreendida pela Delegacia de Repressão aos Crimes de Informática (DRCI), foi levada para assistência técnica antes da atriz ter sido chantageada para que as fotos não fossem divulgadas. O responsável pelos reparos no computador pode ser indiciado pelos crimes de extorsão qualificada, difamação e furto.

A atriz prestou depoimento de mais de sete horas, acompanhada pelo marido Tiago Worcman. Ela começou a ser ouvida na manhã desta segunda-feira. E só deixou a delegacia às 16h30m, sem falar com a imprensa.

Segurança acirrada

Ela foi cercada por um cordão de isolamento feito por cinco seguranças até um Range Rover branco com placas de São Bernardo do Campo, interior de São Paulo, que ficou estacionado em frente à sede policial.
O drama vivido por Carolina Dieckmann começou há duas semanas, quando o chantagista fez o primeiro contato, numa ligação ao escritório do empresário da atriz. Depois de outro telefonema, o criminoso começou a se comunicar por e-mail, pedindo R$ 10 mil para que as imagens não fossem repassadas para uma revista.

Troca de mensagens

Orientada pela polícia, Carolina Dieckmann trocou mensagens com o criminoso, para armar uma prisão em flagrante no momento do pagamento da extorsão. Mas não teve sucesso na iniciativa. Depois de uma troca de cinco e-mails, as imagens vazaram em dois sites — um americano e outro inglês.

O advogado Antonio Carlos Almeida Castro, o Kakay, que representa a atriz, notificou os sites, que já retiraram as imagens. No último sábado, Kakay entrou em contato com o Google, solicitando o bloqueio das imagens pelo site de buscas na internet.

— Ao contrário do que se pensa, esse tipo de crime pode ser rastreado — disse o advogado, na saída da DRCI, onde a atriz depôs.
